Large Scale Installations
Deep Blue was a pre-summer installation with a very tight budget. With limited supplies (shrink wrap, batting, wire mesh, and paint) I designed a setup to highlight the pop color of the season...a deep cobalt blue. The main floor installation was a 25' long blue octopus from the (deep blue) sea, climbing among the stores columns and carrying a mannequin elegantly styled in the seasons pop color. Single blue tentacles made appearances in the Broadway window and throughout the store, emerging from the ceilings holding accessories and interacting with mannequins.
Up In Air was a whimsical Spring campaign...which required a less than whimsical trip out onto a 30' high I-beam to suspend.
'Smile' was a seasonal campaign based on Da Vinci's Mona Lisa. In this installation, the mannequins created a three ring circus throughout the store carrying out the mischievous thoughts hidden behind her infamous 'smirk'. I was artistically inspired by Terry Gilliam's work with two dimensional sketches, graphics, and muted colors.
